ARMENIAN-KUWAITI POLITICAL CONSULTATIONS HELD AT KUWAITI FOREIGN MINISTRY

ArmInfo. Armenian-Kuwaiti political consultations were held at the
Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry, Monday. The consultations began with a
meeting of Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Arman Kirakosyan and
Kuwaiti Foreign Undersecretary Khaled al-Jarallah.

The Armenian Foreign Ministry press-service reports that the sides
discussed the work on preparation of the Armenian president’s visit
to Kuwait, as well as issues related to implementation of the signed
documents and further development of bilateral relations. From the
viewpoint of development of trade and economic relations the sides
pointed out the significance of signing of an economic agreement.

Arman Kirakosyan presented Armenia’s policy with respect to neighboring
countries, particularly, the current stage of normalization of
Armenian-Turkish relations, as well as issues of regional interest. The
Kuwaiti party highly estimated Armenia’s policy aimed at normalization
of relations with the neighbors. For his part, Khaled al-Jarallah
touched upon the relations of his country with its neighbors,
particularly, Iran, Iraq and Saudi Arabia. He also spoke about the
Kuwaiti foreign political priorities within the frames of the Gulf
Cooperation Council.
