AMBASSADOR OF RA ARMEN MELKONIAN MEETS WITH MINISTER OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH OF EGYPT HANI HELAL

CAIRO, OCTOBER 28, NOYAN TAPAN. Ambassador of RA to Egypt Armen
Melkonian met with Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research
of Egypt Hani Helal on October 27. Issues related to educational
relations between the two countries, including the process of
preparatory work of signing the 2009-2012 intergovernmental practical
program of cooperation in the spheres of education and science were
discussed at the meeting.

According to the RA Foreign Ministry Press and Information Department,
the sides attached importance to permanence of further development of
immediate contacts and exchange of information between universities
of Armenia and Egypt. They specially appreciated the activity of the
Center for Armenological Studies at Cairo University as a result of
close cooperation.
