ARMENIA, TURKEY TO JOINTLY RESTORE ANI

Yerevan (Yerkir) – Armenia and Turkey will jointly implement a project
to restore Ani. Archaeologists and arts specialists will be involved in
the project. The Armenian-language newspaper Marmara, quoting the Star
newspaper, said that the Turkish culture minister has said that the
project’s goal is to build a cultural bridge between the two nations.
The minister added that the two peoples had lived side by side for
ages, and it is better to think about cultural cooperation rather
than the tragic events of 1915.
