ARMENIAN PEACEKEEPERS FROM FEBRUARY 2010 TO IMPLEMENT THEIR MISSION IN AFGHANISTAN

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 29, ARMENPRESS: Armenian peacekeepers from February
2010 are expected to implement their mission in Afghanistan.

Recently Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan participated in
NATO meeting in Bratislava where Armenia has been recognized the 43d
country providing assistance forces to international security.

S. Ohanyan told Armenpress that the Armenian 40-member peacekeepers’
group will implement their mission within German platoon.

The Armenian Constitutional Court will examine document regulating the
implementation of the mission and then it will be presented to the NA.

The minister also said that Armenia will continue peacekeeping
mission in Kosovo where the Armenian were for the first time sent in
February 2004.
