If the Armenian-Turkish process gets drawn out and pressures in
Nagorno-Karabakh issue increase, Armenia will be forced to swear at
Turkey on a presidential level, said Director of Politeconomia Centre
Andranik Tevanyan today.

Official Yerevan, according to the analyst, realizes the negative
character of the Armenian-Turkish Protocols; "otherwise, why doesn’t
Armenia rush to ratify them?"

Tevanyan stated that if Turkey was concerned with bypassing the
recognition of Armenian Genocide before, now such a problem no longer
exists. "Armenian leadership thought, if we make some concessions
then Turkey will also make concessions and it might assist in the
Karabakh issue," the analyst said.

According to him, the Armenian side thought if we proceed to make
concessions, perhaps Turkey will cross over to Armenia’s side.

"They conceded and conceded, [and] now they understand. I am convinced
that they realized what’s what in Zurich," concluded the analyst.
