REMINDER TO RUSSIAN TV STATION ORT: RUSSIA RECOGNIZED ARMENIAN GENOCIDE

The following day after the signing ceremony of the Armenian-Turkish
Protocols, a video aired on ORT First Russian TV Channel, in which
the Armenian Genocide was mentioned with the words "so-called."
The video, as well as the corresponding article on the broadcaster’s
website, was removed from 1TV.ru owing to the efforts of members of
"Initiative for the Prevention of Armenophobia," said group member
Tigran Kocharyan to journalists today.
"Probably, the author of the material was unaware of the fact that
the Russian Federation is one of those countries that have officially
recognized the Armenian Genocide," Kocharyan said.
