The newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Netherlands to
Armenia Pieter Jan Langenberg (residence in Tbilisi) presented his
credentials to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan today.

Congratulating Pieter Jan Langenberg on his appointment, President
Sargsyan stated that Armenia has an interest in strengthening its
relations, in all areas, with the Netherlands.

Sargsyan highly praised the Netherlands’ support toward the development
of Armenia’s economy since the country’s independence, as well as
highlighting the successfully developed cooperation between the two
countries within the World Bank’s and International Monetary Fund’s
Dutch Group.

The parties considered the deepening of relations in not only
bilateral, but also multilateral, format as necessary, considering
the EU’s Eastern Partnership Project as an important process directed
to that aim.

Upon the ambassador’s request, President Sargsyan presented Armenia’s
approaches to the negotiating process on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict,
as well as issues related to the establishment to Armenian-Turkish
relations, announced the President of the Republic of Armenia press
office.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
