ArmInfo. "It is simply not in anyone’s interest to initiate a military
adventure in NK at the moment", Laurence Broers, Caucasus Projects
Manager at Conciliation Resources (UK), told ArmInfo.

"I do not think that a resumption of violence is likely in the NK
context at this time. if there was a resumption of violence it would
be more likely because of unintended escalation along the Line of
Contact (LOC), which is a weak point in the conflict system, and
faulty decision-making structures",- the British expert said.

"However, if a framework agreement was signed, taking the peace
process into a critical new phase, then there would be renewed risk
of violence through the possible mobilization of opposition to a peace
agreement. In terms of the specific question of how the international
community would react if Azerbaijan tried to start a new war, I would
expect the international community to attach high importance to the
observation of appropriate human rights standards in the conduct of
the war. But international community reactions would have little impact
on outcomes on the battlefield, as Georgia’s experience shows",- said.
