REPRESENTATIVES OF ANC MEET WITH EU’S SPECIAL REPRESENTATIVE TO SOUTH CAUCASUS PETER SEMNEBY

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 30, NOYAN TAPAN. Representatives of the Central
Office of the Armenian National Congress (ANC) Levon Zurabian, David
Shahnazarian, Avetis Avagian, and Vladimir Karapetian on October 28 had
a meeting with the European Union’s Special Representative to the South
Caucasus Peter Semneby, the Lithuanian Ambassador Giedrius Apuokas,
and the Head of the EU Delegation in Armenia Raul de Lutzenberger.

As NT was informed by the ANC Central Office, the current state and
the prospects of the Armenian-Turkish relations and the Karabakh
conflict settlement were discussed at the meeting. The interlocutors
spoke in detail about the state of democracy in Armenia, in particular,
the issues related to the release of political prisoners, the freedom
of assembly and the mass media, and the fight against corruption.
