The Armenian-Turkish Protocols, in all likelihood, will be ratified,
and after a certain period, the two countries’ border will open, said
Alexei Vlaslov, general director of the Russian Center of Post-Soviet
Studies at Moscow State University, in an interview with Azerbaijan
news agency Day.az.

Explaining Russian’s opinion on what influence Armenia-Turkey dialogue
can have on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Vlaslov noted that on an
official level, Russia’s leadership formulates its position with the
utmost care and that is completely justified.

"Here is the ‘don’t harm’ principle at work where any unconsiderate
word, any negligent expression stated by a participant-state in the
settlement of conflicts in the South Caucasus can be interpreted
differently and lead to negative consequences. In my opinion,
Moscow’s official position at this moment is completely justified,"
added the director.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
