ART RESTORATION SCHOOL TO BE OPENED IN ARMENIA WITH ITALY’S SUPPORT

Armenia and Italy have signed an agreement to open a school for
restoring artwork, said Republic of Armenia Minister of Culture
Hasmik Poghosyan. According to Poghosyan, the school of restoration
will begin work as early as next year.
"The school of restoration is a very successful project, which includes
all areas of restorative activities, monuments, wall painting. This
two-month project plans creation of base centres, such as a restoration
centre of wall paintings in Erebuni museum and a restoration centre
of cultural values in the National Gallery," the minister said.
Poghosyan also stated that the project will have an educationl aspect.
The Italian specialists will visit Armenia and provide master classes.
Later, the best students will receive training in Italy.
