/PanARMENIAN.Net/ The Armenian delegation will henceforth give reports
on key issues discussed by NATO Parliamentary Assembly, said Karen
Avagyan, the chairman of RA parliamentary delegation to NATO PA.

"NATO PA 55th session focused on the Alliance’s new strategy to
be presented to member states. If approved, the strategy will be
implemented in 2010. The Armenian delegation will also put forward
suggestions on the recently developed strategy."

For his part, Armenian delegation member Artak Zakaryan noted that
a report on Russia-NATO relations, covering democracy and terrorism
issues, was presented during the previous NATO session. Dwelling
on Georgia’s membership in NATO, Zakaryan remarked that pursuing
"open doors policy", Alliance, advised the Georgian government to
continue reforms for human rights protection and strengthening of
democratic institutions.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
