A delegation of representatives of NGOs dealing with problems
of Turkish intellectuals and women has visited the Armenian
Parliament yesterday. The delegation has arrived in Armenia under
the European Integration and Gender problems program. The delegation
members expressed a wish to hold a meeting with Armenian women
parliamentarians.

During the meeting the women parliamentarians expressed hope that
women will contribute to the Armenian-Turkish normalization process
by their kindness and mildness, the Public Relations Department of
RA Parliament reported, according to news.am.

Demir Rahime Bulut of the University of Bosporus said he studies
Turkish literature transliterated into Armenian. He has discovered
interesting facts of Armenians’ activities in Turkey. In response,
Naira Zohrabyan, Chairman of the Standing Committee on European
Integration, RA Parliament, said: "I am glad you study history. I
am sure you will thus help Turkey to admit historical truth, as any
state is strong due to admitting its past."

The heads of the delegation Kafer Ulun presented a volume entitled
"Armenians in Turkey" to the library of the RA Parliament.

According to the news agency, the delegation also held a meeting with
the members of the Heritage parliamentary faction, who stated that
the higher is the level of bilateral relations the stronger will be
mutual confidence, and the more honestly history is presented the
better is for the two nations.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
