Azerbaijani, Russian Presidents open monument to Heydar Aliyev in Ulyanovsk

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Russian President Dmitry
Medvedev laid a wreath on the monument to Heydar Aliyev in Ulyanovsk.
Afterwards, both presidents met with representatives of Azerbaijani
Diaspora who attended the ceremony.
The said that there is a school in which the Azerbaijani language is
taught in Ulyanovsk. Azerbaijani football team, music collectives
observe the traditions.
Ilham Aliyev said that he is very glad that Azerbaijanis keep their
traditions, remember their state figures. They are good citizens of
the country in which they live.
The Azerbaijani President said that opening of the bridge in Ulyanovsk
via the Volga River and conferring the name of Heydar Aliyev, the
third Azerbaijani President in Ulyanovsk square. It is a sign of
friendship.
Medvedev agreed with him and stressed Heydar Aliyev’s significant
contribution in construction of this bridge. He emphasized that launch
of the bridge is a peculiar monument to Heydar Aliyev.
He expressed satisfaction that Azerbaijani Diaspora has found its
place in culture and life of Ulyanovsk.
"We can meet with Ilham Aliyev not only in Moscow, Saint-Petersburg
and Sochi. Russia is a large country. It has many interesting cities.
It is useful to hold meetings there," the Russian President said.
