ArmInfo. Recently militarist statements by Ilham Aliyev and
his entourage have become a tradition, which is not good for the
Nagorno-Karabakh peace process, says Vadim Mukhanov, senior researcher
of the Center for Caucasus Studies of the Moscow State Institute of
International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
Azerbaijan’s creative potential in this process is very small and
is not enough for the Azeris to appear with new proposals. Recently,
both the Azeri and Armenian sides have shown minimum readiness for a
compromise. This makes impossible early progress in the matter. One
cannot rule out the possibility of military resolution but this
possibility is very small as it may prove dangerous for the present
Azeri authorities.
