The meeting of the foreign ministers of the three OSCE co-chairing
states and Armenia and Azerbaijan held in Athens may create conditions
for more effective negotiations, considers MP Ziyafet Askerov. He also
noted that if official Yerevan demonstrates constructiveness during
negotiations it will be possible to attain success in the near future.

"On the whole, the intensification of these meetings is very
important. I think every meeting is important in the sense that
it creates grounds for conduction of the next meeting. As for our
position, it was voiced by our president. We are ready to hold
negotiations within the framework of the territorial integrity of
Azerbaijan", Askerov said.

The vice speaker considers that the status of Nagorno Karabakh can be
discussed in the near future. "This year the presidents of Armenia
have met 6-7 times. Definite achievements were reached during these
meetings. But the matter is that Armenia goes back to coordinated
issues again".
