Recep Tayyip Erdogan Turkey may raise the number of its servicemen
in Afghanistan, if the USA assists in the resolution of the
Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Karabakh.
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will set this provision
before US President Barack Obama in response to his request for an
increase in the number of Turkish soldiers in Afghanistan.
Erdogan will raise the issue of Cyprus, as well as Karabakh, Hurriyet
newspaper reports, citing what it calls reliable diplomatic sources.
Turkish media have reported that Turkey may raise the number of its
troops in Afghanistan to 3,000.
Erdogan is to meet Barack Obama on 7 December.
