MEDIAN MONTHLY WAGE IN ARMENIA RISE S BY 7.8% FROM A YEAR BEFORE TO $264

YEREVAN, December 3, /ARKA/. Median nominal monthly wage in Armenia in
2009 October rose by 7.8% from a year before to 101,706 Drams ($264,
178 euros or 7,758 rubles), the National Statistical Service said. It
said the wage in October rose by 1% from September.
The highest median wage of 109,383 Drams was in the southern province
of Syunik and the lowest of 77,977 Drams in Tavush province. In
Yerevan the median wage in September was 11,371 Drams.
The highest wage of 245,131 Drams was in financial sector, 171,294
Drams in mining sector, 138,031 Drams in production and distribution
of power, gas and water, 137,842 Drams in construction and 123,699
Drams in real sectors.
People working for fishing industry had the lowest wage of 57,200
Drams, health workers-65,402 Drams, agriculture and forestry workers
-70,108 Drams.
