THE GEORGIAN PATRIARCH WISHED TO MEET THE ARMENIAN CATHOLICOS

The All-Georgian Patriarch Ilya II met with the Armenian ambassador
to Georgia Hrach Silvanyan as well as the leader of the Georgian
diocese of the Armenian Church Archbishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan. In the
course of the meeting, the status of the Armenian Apostolic Church
was discussed in details, as well as issues regarding the churches,
local Armenian monuments, including issues on the preservation and
restoration of churches.

His Holiness assured that all the problems will find their solutions
stressing the long friendship of the Armenian and Georgian people. He
expressed his wish to receive the All-Armenian Catholicos on some
