ArmInfo. Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan criticized
the Armenian Diaspora again in an interview with Trend News.
"Unfortunately, the problems with the Diaspora still exist, however,
we shall not listen to the Diaspora. We have no problems with the
Armenian people. They live in Turkey very calmly. Not everything must
be solved at the Diaspora’s discretion. The Armenian Diaspora here
claims that Turkey committed "a so-called Armenian Genocide". This
issue should be left to the historians’ discretion. I can only say that
my ancestors have never committed and could not commit a Genocide. It
is incorrect if America acts influenced by lobby", Erdogan said.
According to him, Turkey assumed a great role in the region. In this
issue, he said, a great part falls also on the Turkish Diaspora. "The
Diaspora must not teach us whom we should build relations with. I
want to speak openly", Erdogan emphasized.
