DIRECTOR GENERAL OF ARMENTEL PROMISES EXCLUSIVELY PLEASANT SURPRISES ON NEW YEAR’S EVE

ArmInfo. One may expect only pleasant surprises from ArmenTel on
the New Year’s Eve, Director General of ArmenTel Igor Klimko said at
today’s press-conference.

According to him, such "surprises" as network congestion and
impossibility to get on the phone or send a New Year congratulation
will be prevented. He pointed out that according to the accepted
practice, over the period of the coming holidays, ArmenTel will
increase the network capacity, including the "lowest" sections for
the subscribers to experience no unpleasant consequences of peak
network loading.

To note, after the New Year holiday of 2009, ArmenTel reported that
from 31 December 2008 till 1 January 2009 over 3.5 mln outgoing
calls were made and over 1 mln SMS messages were sent in the mobile
network of the company. Kliko said that the company will probably
make pleasant suprises for its subscribers. "It is early to specify,
the subscribers will know about it by the New Year",- he added.

To recall, as of the end of III qt 2009, ArmenTel had 502 thsd mobile
subscribers.
