ARMENIA, LATVIA SIGN AGREEMENTS

Armenian and Latvian governments signed agreements on cooperation,
December 10. These are agreements on cooperation in air ways, joints
efforts against terrorism and crime, ecological agreements, and an
agreement on economical, technical, and science cooperation.
Armenia’s President Serge Sargsyan said at the press conference that
these agreements are very important and give a new impetus to the
bilateral relations.
Warm political relations between the two countries are to influence
the economical cooperation, said both presidents. An Armenian-Latvian
business forum will he held in Armenia to contribute to the economical
ties.
Mr. Sargsyan also said that the cooperation in the field of tourism
is important. Travel connection and ties between the two countries
were traditional at the soviet times, added President Sargsyan.
Latvian President Valdis Zatlers and his wife Lilita Zatlers are in
Armenia on a three-day visit at President Serge Sargsyan’s invitation.
