NAZIK AVDALYAN – BEST ARMENIAN SPORTSWOMAN

According to Armenian Sport Journalists Federation annual survey
results, conducted among 52 Armenian sport journalists, weightlifting
world champion Nazik Avdalyan is the best Armenian sportswoman of
2009. Avdalyan, 23, got 520 points, setting up an absolute record.

Armenian weightlifter Arakel Mirzoyan took the second place, followed
by boxer Andranik Hakobyan.

The best team of the year is Armenian national Graeco-Roman wrestling
team that ranked third in the European Championship team rating and
the World Cup.
