Resolving political problems by such forcible means as dissolving
political parties is fraught with dangerous consequences, Alexander
Sungurov, President Center for Humanities and Political Studies
"Strategy", Saint Petersburg, Russia, told NEWS.am, commenting on the
dissolution of the Kurdish Democratic Society Party (DTP) in Turkey.

"If you dislike a people you cannot resolve the problem by annihilating
it. Times are different now. It was the practice of the Stalin time,
but now civilized nations must find civilized methods of resolving
problems," Sungurov said.

The other day the Turkish Constitutional Court passed a judgment
banning the Democratic Society Party, which caused mass actions of
protests by the Kurdish population. The DTP representative in the
Turkish Parliament left the legislature.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
