ARMENIAN AMBASSADOR TO INDIA VISITS CALCUTTA

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 16, ARMENPRESS: Armenian ambassador to India Ara
Hakobyan left December 15 for the capital of Western Bengal Calcutta.

During the visit meetings with the representatives of the local
Armenian community, acting governor of Bengal and chief minister
Budhadeb Bhatacharji were intended.

Armenian Foreign Ministry Press and Information Department told
Armenpress that the ambassador conducted meetings with Primate of the
Council of Calcutta’s Armenian St. Nazareth Mother Church Michael Dat,
senior member of the council Sunil Sobti, and other representatives
of the Armenian community.

In the evening of December 15 the re-opening of the reconstructed
hall of the Armenian Humanitarian College took place and an event
dedicated to the 140th anniversary of Komitas birthday.
