A member of the oppositional Republic Party Suren Sourenyants
positively assesses process of normalisation relations with Turkey.

"I think, that the normalisation of relations between Armenia
and Turkey will contribute to establishment of a single system of
cooperation and safety in the region," he said.

When asked about wooing of the old year he said of this the notable
one is the amnesty that let "dozens of his friends be freed." But
more than ten political prisoners are still arrested, he added.
