/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Over the first 6 months of 2009, only 3 reports
were drawn up for driving vehicles without technical checkup. After
relevant checkups in road police sphere conducted by control service,
the number of reports reached 10 000, head of control service Hovhannes
Hovsepyan said.

Also, according to control service chechkups, 6 out of 19 bus
terminals are not operating, while having 15 staff members, with AMD
700 000 allocated to their salaries monthly. "Yerevan’s central bus
terminal was mortgaged for USD 631 credit. Bus terminal authorities
were unable to pay off the sum. RA President commissioned Transport
and Communications Ministry to redeem the terminal. Part of the sum
has already been covered and bus terminal director dismissed from
his position," Hovhannes Hovsepyan told the news conference in Yerevan.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
