Yerevan, 17 December: Russia and Armenia on Thursday [17 December]
signed an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the export
of military purpose products to third countries.

This treaty is very important for the strengthening of Armenian-Russian
military cooperation and will also contribute to a growth in the two
countries’ armed forces’ defence capacities, Armenian Defence Minister
Seyran Ohanyan said on Thursday.

The agreement was signed within the framework of the fourth session of
the intergovernmental commission for military-technical cooperation
between the two countries. The deputy head of the Federal Service
for Military and Technical Cooperation, Konstantin Biryulin, took
part in the session from the Russian side.

According to the press service of the Armenian Defence Ministry,
the sides discussed current issues of military cooperation between
the two countries. The same issues were discussed at Biryulin’s talks
with Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
