ArmInfo. Armenian National Congress (ANC) denies the results of the
parliamentary by-election held at the 10th constituency in Yerevan
on Jan 10, the ANC statement says.

ANC is going to appeal to all possible judicial instances against the
results of the by-election. To recall, Ara Simonyan, representative
of the National Unity Party, won the election. The oppositional
candidate, editor of the Yerevan-based daily "Haykakan Zhamanak"
(Armenian Time), Nikol Pashinyan, held the second position.

The ANC statement says that the election was held with a number of
violations, including bribery, use of criminal elements, as well as
removal of observers and agents from the polling stations.

The deputy mandate of the 10th constituency became vacant because
the Khachatur Sukiassyan, who formerly represented this constituency,
is accused of privity to March 1-2 2008 events in Yerevan.
