Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin does not rule out the participation
of His Holiness Karekin II in the World Summit of Religious Leaders
in Baku, April 2010, Head of Holy Etchmiadzin’s press service Vahram
Melikyan informed NEWS.am.
"Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin has not received the invitation yet.
If we do, we will inform the public, but at the moment it is early
to speak of it," Melikyan stated. Asked whether Karekin II will visit
Baku if gets the invitation, he replied why not.
As NEWS.am reported previously, World Summit of Religious Leaders
will be held this April in Baku on the initiative of Chairman of
Caucasian Muslims Office and Chief of Advisory Council of CIS Muslims
Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh as well as the Russian Orthodox
Church.
According to Azerbaijani media, Catholicos of all Armenians will also
attend the event.
