IRANIAN BANKS TOO

The minister of Transport and Communication of Armenia Gurgen Sargsyan
during his meeting with the Iranian ambassador Meyed Ali Saghaiyan
noted that the Asian bank announced about the allocation of 500
million of loan for the construction of the "North-South" highway.
The first faze of work supposes for the reconstruction of
Yerevan-Ashtarak interstate road as well as other works relating to
the road security on Yerevan-Ararat highway. The minister noted that
the technical study of the North-South highway will be made this year.
The Iranian ambassador stated that Iranian organizations are also
interested in the construction of the North-South highway. The
ambassador did not rule out that Iranian banks will participate in
the finance of construction of some parts of the road.
Dwelling on the Iran-Armenia railway construction, Gurgen Sargsyan
informed that in April most likely the winner company will be known
after which the construction will start.
