RUSSIAN, ARMENIAN DEFENCE MINISTERS DISCUSS DEVELOPMENT OF MILITARY COOPERATION

MOSCOW, January 13 (Itar-Tass) – Russian Defence Minister Anatoly
Serdyukov has held a working meeting with his Armenian counterpart
Seyran Oganyan, the Russian ministry’s spokeswoman, Irina Kovalchuk,
told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.
"The parties discussed prospects for the development of military
and military-technical cooperation between Russia and Armenia as
well as regional security problems. Moreover, they focused on the
preparation of Armenian servicemen in higher schools of the Russian
Defence Ministry," she said.
"Russian-Armenian relations in the military sector are strategic
partnership," Serdyukov said.
