PAPOULIAS RECEIVES VISITING ARMENIAN PATRIARCH ARAM I

President of the Republic Karolos Papoulias on Friday received the
Armenian Patriarch of the Great House of Cilicia Aram I, who is
currently visiting Greece. The Patriarch was accompanied by the
metropolitan of the Orthodox Armenians of Greece and the presidency of
the Central Council of Orthodox Armenians of Greece.

During the meeting, Papoulias praised the important body of work being
carried out by Patriarch Aram in Lebanon, that included the foundation
of a university and schools, as well as his contribution to the effort
for peace in that country.
