NUMBER OF BABIES BORN IN ARMENIA REACHES 43,000

Number of babies born in Armenia by 19 January 2010 stands at the
2009’s level, said Chief Obstetrician-Gynecologist of Armenia’s
Ministry of Health Razmik Abrahamian.

He said the happiest day at Ministry’s stuff is the day when number of
born babies increase in comparison with the previous day. According
to official reports by Razmik Abrahamian, 43,000 babies were born in
2009, in comparison with 2008’s 40,000. This may come from the system
of backing certificates.

"Neither maternity hospital can demand on anything. Even if you
choose a doctor, you shouldn’t pay him, as he receives a bonus,"
said Razmik Abrahamian.
