In the course of his visit to Iran, former RA President Robert
Kocharyan made no statements, first president’s office head Viktor
Soghomonyan told NEWS.am. Kocharyan visited Tehran with his spouse at
the invitation of the Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki on January
20-21. Soghomonyan also underlined that information on visit details
spread by Iranian media is untrue.

According to Soghomonyan, former RA president made no statements in the
course of friendly and informal visit. "Most likely, hullabaloo in the
press is a result of misunderstanding or misinterpretation," he said.

NEWS.am reported earlier, IRNA state news agency spread official
information on Kocharyan’s meeting with Iranian President Mahmoud
Ahmadinejad. The officials discussed bilateral and regional issues.

Kocharyan also informed about Armenia’s intention to expand ties
with Iran. The day before, RA Former President met with Iranian
Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, discussing issues on bilateral
cooperation and regional development.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
