TIES WITH RUSSIA, U.S., ASIA, AND AFRICA STRENGTHENED

Last year registers deep cooperation between Armenia and Russia,
whose officials held nearly two dozens of meetings, told journalists
Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian reviewing foreign affairs for 2009.

Armenia has strengthened relations with the United States, said
minister summing up Armenia-U.S. dialogue and dealing. Various programs
are expected to be implemented in the near future.

"We’ve kept up relations and closing-in with Europe. Armenia has
joined the EU Eastern Partnership Plan," said minister.

Armenian government for foreign affairs also created basis for
relations and projects with Iran and Georgia. Besides, Armenia focused
on the development of relations with China, India, and Japan. Foreign
policy included dealing with countries of the Latin America, and
states of the Southeast Asia and Africa, minister told.
