ARMENIAN-IRANIAN TIES TEND TO DEVELOP

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan received Wednesday
Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottak, who is in Yerevan to
take part in the 9th meeting of Armenian-Iranian intergovernmental
commission.

Welcoming the guest, the President stressed the importance of the
commission’s activities. "We consider Iran a reliable partner and a
key regional actor," he said.

Thanking for a warm reception the Iranian top diplomat, for his
part, conveyed to Armenian President the greetings of his Iranian
counterpart.

The two men expressed willingness to develop cooperation, stressing
that bilateral ties have great potential for development.

They also touched upon Armenia-Turkey relations, regional stability
and security issues, as well as the latest developments in Karabakh
peace talks. President Sargsyan thanked Iran for its balanced approach
to the process.
