THE VISIT OF THE DELEGATION HEADED BY THE RA MINISTER OF DEFENCE TO FRANCE CONTINUES

On the 9th of February, 2010 the RA Minister of Defence met the
principal of one of the advanced science-research centers in France
– Fund-Institute for Military Research – Kamil Gran. After their
talk, in a meeting with representatives from French MoD, scientists,
journalists and militants, Seyran Ohanyan thoroughly talked about the
principles, priorities, the influence of the defence surrounding and
the main directions of the international military cooperation of the
defence policy of the RA MoD in South Caucasus, and the position of
the RA MoD regarding different activities in the region. The Minister
also answered some questions.

On the same day the Armenian delegation left for the military training
centre of Murmelon. They met the managers of the centre and the senior
instructors. The centre which was founded in 1856 plays a core role
in the training and exercising of specialists of the French infantry,
motor-infantry, land and other arms of the service. For the Armenian
delegation training was organized in the centre to demonstrate the
practical educational methods of developing the commanding skills of
the junior commander staff.

On the 9th of February the RA Minister of Defence Seyran Ohanyan also
met the Chief of the French AF GS, Army-General Jan-Lui Jorjelin.

Matters of mutual interest, the programs of bilateral cooperation and
the prospects of their development were discussed during the meeting.
