HIS HOLINESS ARAM I RECEIVES HIS EMINENCE BISHOP ROLAND ABOU JAOUDE,
GENERAL PATRIARCHAL VICAR OF THE MARONITE CHURCH
On Monday 8 February 2010, Mgr. Roland Abou Jaoude General Patriarchal Vicar
of the Maronite Church of Lebanon met with His Holiness Aram I in Antelias.
The Patriarchal Vicar had come to brief His Holiness on the Annual Maronite
Bishops Conference, and issues touching the situation in Lebanon and
ecumenical relations. The Vicar’s information prompted His Holiness to
respond and recommend ways of cooperation.
In the end of the meeting, His Holiness asked Mgr. Abou Jaoude to transmit
his warm greetings to His Beatitude Mar Nasrallah Boutros Sfeir on the
occasion of the feast of Saint Maroun, the father of the Maronite Church.
