ARMENIA’S BORDER SECURITY STRATEGY TO BE ELABORATED

In accordance with the National Security Strategy of Armenia and upon
the instruction of the President of the Republic, the Border Security
Strategy of Armenia should be worked out and adopted in 2010.
The work in this direction started today at the sitting of the
interdepartmental working group on border security, fight against
terrorism and cyber crimes chaired by National Security Council
Secretary Arthur Baghdasaryan.
Participants of the sitting decided to send a working group comprised
of representatives of interested agencies to border checkpoints of
the republic to study the situation and present proposals on the
modernization of border checkpoints.
