On the 16th of February, 2010 in the RA Government’s conference hall
the 8th forum of the "Yerkrapah" Volunteer Union took place. After the
opening ceremony and the selection of the presidency and the members
of the committee some speeches were made. President of the department
of the RA "Yerkrapah" Volunteer Union Manvel Grigoryan talked about
the activities of the Union, also touching upon its chronology and
history. "Yerkrapah" Volunteer Detachments, which were formulated in
the battlefield, uniting around one true idea, accomplished its task
with fame leaving the arena to the Armenian regular army. However,
even today, should it be needed, "Yerkrapah" will take up guns and
stand next to the Armenian soldier. Manvel Grigoryan called all
Armenians to unite in order to confront all the upcoming challenges.

Greeting those present the RA Minister of Defence Seyran Ohanyan
stated that it is a great honor for him to meet his battle companions.

"We all manifested ourselves fully in the path of creating our
contemporary history. We fallowed the idea of putting words into
actions. Passing this path side by side we are always to appreciate
our battle friendship. The regional conditions make us be united. We
stood together while shaping our state and together we have to overcome
the problems that our country faces and fight for further progresses
and developments," – said Seyran Ohanyan.

After the speeches a voting of the members of the YVU department
and the control committee took place. And during the sitting of the

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
