VOLUME OF TAXES AND MANDATORY PAYMENTS MADE BY LARGEST 325 TAXPAYERS SLASH LAST YEAR BY 38.4 BILLION DRAMS TO 167.9 BILLION DRAMS

YEREVAN, February 17, /ARKA/. The volume of paid taxes and other
mandatory payments made last year by Armenia’s largest 325 taxpayers
slashed by 38.4 billion Drams from a year before to 167.9 billion
Drams, the State Revenue Committee said in its analysis of aggregate
indicators of monitoring of largest taxpayers in 2009, posted on the
committee’s official website.

Ten largest taxpayers- K-Telecom, Zangezur copper and molybdenum
combine, ArmRosGazprom, South Caucasus Railways, Orange Armenia,
Pure Metal Plant, Armenian Molybdenum Production , Grant Tobacco and
others paid last year by 39.1 billion drams less taxes than in the
preceding year.

According to the State Revenue Committee, tax authorities conducted
last year 805 inspections revealing 6.6 billion drams of tax
evasion.($1 – 381.33 Drams).
