ArmInfo. Armenian National Congress Coordinator Levon Zurabyan
recommends political parties in Armenia to be ready for extraordinary
elections.
He said that it is high time for new elections and such sentiments
are felt even inside the ruling coalition. Zurabyan highlighted that
the ANC and its leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan are ready for extraordinary
elections as always. He said the administrative offices of the Congress
have already been given relevant charges and launched verification
of electoral registers and formation of teams to participate in the
election campaign. Zurabyan did not go into details and compared the
rally with football where the final result is not known beforehand. At
the same time, he promised quite "an interesting rally".
The upcoming ANC rally is timed to the 2nd anniversary of the tragic
incidents of March 1-2 2008 in Yerevan when mass opposition rally
and conflict with the police led to death of 10 and injury of over
200 people.
