Iran’s official disposition over international policy can be only
stated by Iranian President, Foreign Ministry and Foreign Minister,
Ardeshir Javadi, the head of PR department of Iran’s Embassy to Armenia
told Panorama.am referring to Iranian Deputy Speaker Muhammad Reza
Bahonar’s statement.

Trend News reported earlier Iran’s Deputy Speaker saying "Iran backs
Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity. In the international arena Iran has
always made efforts and will continue those to return Nagorno-Karabakh
to Azerbaijan."

"The statement of other officials are mere views and are considered
to be non-official statements," the Embassy official said.

He recalled Iran’s Ambassador’s statement saying Nagorno-Karabakh
borders Iran, hence, Iran accepts that the freed territories are part
of Nagorno-Karabakh.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
