YEREVAN, February 26, /ARKA/. Armenian Ameriabank will sign three
loan agreements in spring with the European Bank for Reconstruction
and Development (EBRD) worth $30 million, its development manager
Tigran Jrbashian said today.
He said the first $10 million worth agreement will be signed in the
first week of March. The loan will allow the bank to continue its
co-financing program to support large businesses.
He said the second loan agreement, also worth $10 million, will be
signed later in spring and will be channeled to finance small and
medium entrepreneurship. Before the end of spring the bank will sign
two more credit agreements, each $5 million for financing trade.
He said as a result the bank will have this year $80 million worth
loans from international lending organizations. He said it will be
a serious stimulus for the bank to implement its strategy.
He said apart from EBRD Ameriabank is negotiating also loans with other
‘serious’ actors in the international market. He said preliminary
results of the talks will be presented in mid 2010.
