Today, in Kiev, Serge Sargsyan participated in the swearing-in ceremony
of the newly-elected president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovich.

After the special session of the Ukrainian Supreme Rada, Serge Sargsyan
partook in the official reception organized by Yanukovich in honor
of leaders of foreign countries arrived in Kiev.

Serge Sargsyan met with the U.S. Deputy State Secretary Philip Gordon
in Kiev. In the course of the meeting, issues relating to the Armenian
and Turkish process were discussed.

Philip Gordon reconfirmed the U.S. support to the process. He
underlined that the ratification of the protocols by the parliaments of
both countries, without linking it to other processes, is an important
step for the normalization of relations.
