TWO DELEGATIONS REPRESENTING TURKISH PARLIAMENT LEAVE FOR US

Baku – APA. Two delegations representing the Turkish parliament have
left for the US in connection with the discussion of the so-called
Armenian genocide in the committee of the House of Representatives,
APA reports quoting Turkish news agencies. The first delegation led
by chairman of the Turkish parliament’s foreign affairs commission,
MP from Justice and Development Party (AKP) Murat Mercan includes
Abdullah Calishkan and Shaban Dishli from the ruling party, former
Turkish ambassador to the US, MP from the Republican People’s Party
(CHP) Sukru Elekdag and MP from the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP)
Mithat Melen. The delegation will hold meetings in the U.S.

Presidential Administration, Department of State and Congress.

The second delegation consists of the members of the Turkey-US
interparliamentary friendship group. The delegation is led by head
of the group, deputy chairman of AKP leader for foreign affairs
Suat Kinikoglu.

The draft resolution will be discussed in the House Committee on
Foreign Affairs.
