ArmInfo. It is a deplorable fact, but the organizers of the pogroms of
the peaceful Armenian population in Sumgait, Baku and other Azerbaijani
towns escaped punishment, Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian
said in a joint press conference with Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel
Angel Moratinos in Yerevan on Tuesday.

Minister Nalbandian highlighted another deplorable fact that those
criminals and murderers were set free and called heroes immediately
after Azerbaijan proclaimed independence. "Sooner or later the
criminals will suffer punishment and Armenia will further exert efforts
to brought them responsible," Edward Nalbandian said. The minister
said he is sure that the actual organizers of the crimes in Khojalu,
which were witnessed by ex-president of Azerbaijan Mutalibov and a
number of Azerbaijani and other sources that are being persecuted in
Azerbaijan, will be revealed and punished.
