EUROPEAN UNION TO TACKLE ISSUE OF VISA FACILITATION FOR ARMENIA IN SHORTEST POSSIBLE TIME

ArmInfo. Cooperation of the European Union with Armenia is continued
in the area of boosting contacts between Armenians and Europeans at
part of the EU Neighborhood Policy and Eastern Partnership Project,
said Miquel Angel Moratinos in a joint press conference with Foreign
Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian in Yerevan on Tuesday.
The Spanish minister said the EU is well informed of the interests
of the parties and the necessity to exert efforts to implement visa
facilitation. Minister Moratinos said he had assured his Armenian
colleagues that the EU is expected to speed up the activity of the
subcommittee for justice and freedom to take the necessary security
measures and practical steps to facilitate the visa regime as soon
as possible. The Spanish minister said he would like to see an exact
plan for achieving that goal during Spain’s chairmanship.
