A wreath laying ceremony to commemorate the 1992 pogrom against
Armenians in Sumgait was held in Moscow in the courtyard of the Holy
Resurrection Armenian Church.

Participating was a delegation from the RoA Embassy in Moscow headed
by Ambassador Oleg Yesayan, members of the Armenian Union of Russia,
representatives from various Armenian social and civic organizations
and hundreds of local Armenians. Officiating at the requiem liturgy
was Bishop Yezras Nersissyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese of
Russia and New Nakhijevan.
